Biography

Margot Cooper has practised in the field of medical education since 1968. 18 years ago she focused on creating a system of staged and structured ‘hands-on’ training using models and simulators. The company, Limbs & Things was established as a commercial presence for the work and products.

The company specialises in the design, development, manufacture and marketing of soft tissue models for many aspects of health care training.

The models take the form of part-task trainers and are generally considered to be low fidelity.

They are now designed using computer aided design and rapid prototyping, resulting in products of the highest quality and accuracy.

Materials of manufacture include natural latex rubber, silicone, polyurethane, plastics and a bespoke polymer which is conductive and responds to ultrasound and xray.

Limbs & Things has always worked and supplied both nationally and internationally. The company has offices in USA and Australia, and is represented by more than 70 distributors worldwide.
