WonderTheory: Illustrating science, engaging through wonder.

Jennifer is an award-winning illustrator and visual artist based in Bristol. Her work, spanning multiple forms of media including traditional drawing, digital animation and interactive design, has a focus on evoking the wonder response. Learning through wonder was named as one of the top 10 emerging movements in education by the 2019 Innovating Pedagogy report. Jennifer’s aim is to not only communicate accurate scientific and social truth through her illustrations, but to evoke a sense of wonder – to open the doors to deeper engagement with ideas and concepts.

Graduating from Camberwell College of Arts, UAL in 2015, Jennifer received a first class Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art Drawing and began a career in editorial illustration, working with clients such as Lenny Letter, First Look Media, and Penguin Random House. In 2020, she completed her training in Medical Illustration with the Medical Artists Education Trust, receiving a distinction for her work, and became a fully certified member of the Medical Artist’s Association. Since graduating, she has worked with clients such as Virago, The British Library, Nursing Times magazine, Springer, Eczema Outreach Support and Kinderama.
