MAA member Jo Culley receives multiple awards

Silver - current 2 year project creating new medical illustrations for use in 'patient consent forms' working for EDIO Healthcare Ltd, to be supplied to all the hospitals both in the UK and abroad. Working with medical specialists the brief is to replace all the current illustrations to be placed in the leaflets created and distributed by EIDO Healthcare.

Gold - 50 full colour medical illustrations for 'The Student's Guide to the Anatomy of Stretching' series. Published as a book to act as a guide to the principles of stretching. The written brief was to mock up 50 pencil drawings of each stretch showing precisely which muscles are involved during each one, for review by their chief consultant Prof Ken Ashwell. Gold - Joanna's 40 week by week fetal development illustrations for a digital book by author Chris Just RN, MSN, CNM certified mid-wife who has written a week by week pregnancy guide. The book is to be completed and released on iTunes February 2015 and featured on uAnatomy.com. Platinum - for the 40 fetal images as described above.

Platinum is completed by judging the Gold winners and giving a best in show. This includes all the medical photography winners as well.

Joanna was a finalist in an international competition 2012 by Elsevier aimed at an artist producing an illustration good enough to be reproduced in a Frank Netter manual.
