Caroline Wilkinson

I am a CRFP registered facial anthropologist/forensic artist and my research focuses on the relationship between the soft and hard tissues of the face, juvenile facial reconstruction, facial recognition, anthropometry and facial image analysis. I am author of Forensic Facial Reconstruction.

I have also been involved in many archaeological investigations and my work is exhibited in museums around the world, including the facial reconstructions of bog bodies (The Manchester Museum and Aarhus Museum, Denmark), Ancient Egyptians (The British Museum) and British Archaeology (Museum of London and National Museums of Scotland).

I have appeared on television in popular archaeology programmes such as Meet the Ancestors (BBC2), Secrets of the Dead (Channel 4) and Mummies unwrapped (Discovery Channel). I am currently President of the British Association of Human Identification (BAHId) and I am a member of the British Association of Biological Anthropology and Osteo-Archaeology (BABAO) and the International Association of Craniofacial Identification (IACI).
